Came by for a group dinner and tried a bunch of their dishes. They're actually surprisingly good, I had a much better experience than I expected. Make a reservation ahead of time if you have a large party, and you can actually also put in orders as well if you want them to customize your dishes. Good to give it a try if you're around the area. Personally, I think the food is about 4 stars for me, but bumping it up because they were able to accommodate a huge group of us, gave us three tables and customized the dish orders for us ahead of time.

I’ve been ordering takeout from Tihu anywhere from once a month to once a week, and it’s been consistently good every time. It’s that good! Here are my favorites: Oyster Omelette: I haven’t found a Taiwanese restaurant with a really good oyster omelette in a long time, but Tihu absolutely delivers. It’s loaded with large, fresh oysters and spinach, all topped with a delicious sweet and tangy sauce. This is a must order and something I get every single time! Soups: Their soups are incredibly comforting and never greasy. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, but my favorites are the clam ginger soup, pork liver and intestine soup, and pork blood and intestine soup. These are my go to when I’m feeling a bit under the weather. Pork Chop Fried Rice: A generous portion served with two crispy pork chops, a braised egg, and preserved vegetables. It’s well seasoned and very satisfying. Chicken Leg over Rice: Probably my favorite rice dish here. It comes with two large pieces of lightly fried chicken over rice. Friendly service. Food was hit and miss depending what you order. The oyster pancake was not bad. Doesn’t make me want to go back to Taiwan. The fried oysters however were very different from Taiwan fried oyster. I would probably not order that. The beef noodle soup is not bad. Meat was tender. The stinky tofu… was not stinky enough haha. Fried well but the stink wasn’t quite there.

​I ordered the Braised Pork Rice, but it felt more like a "Potato Curry Rice." There was only one scoop of pork, while half the bowl was curry. They even included a chicken joint piece that is normally thrown away. The sides (curry and leeks) have very strong flavors that don't go well with the braised pork at all, and the egg was quite salty. No one checked about spice levels either. Disappointing experience for a recommended spot.
